Today, Sri Basanta Kr Mohapatra, RTO, Boudh, was arrested by #Odisha #Vigilance in DA case & sent to jail. DA of 445% of income, incl High end flats & 3 Shopping Outlets in BBSR, Rs.2.64 Crores paid for purchase of flats in BBSR & Bengaluru, deposits Rs 4 Crores, etc. unearthed.
During searches against Sri Basanta Kumar Mohapatra, RTO, Boudh, the foll. assets unearthed:
1. 2 Flats in Utkal Signature & Utkal Royal Residency,Bhubaneswar.
2. 2 shops in Utkal Galleria Mall,BBSR.
3. Advance Rs. 2.23 Crore paid for purchase of 2 more Flats in BBSR & Bengaluru.
4. Deposits in Banks, etc over Rs.3.90 Crore.
5. Gold 590 gm, Silver 318 gm.
He is being examined by a team of #Odisha #Vigilance to ascertain the source of funds. Searches continuing.
Today, on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by Sri Basanta Kumar Mohapatra, RTO, #Boudh, simultaneous searches are being conducted by #Odisha #Vigilance at 10 places in Bhubaneswar(Khurdha), Boudh & Ganjam dists.
In a joint forest raid conducted today by forest wing of #Odisha #Vigilance on running of an illegal sawmill at village-Dandi, PS- Nayakanidihi, #Bhadrak, sawmill accessories along with valuable timber worth Rs. 8 Lakhs detected and seized. Further investigation continuing.

The said operation is conducted free of cost in the Govt. hospitals across the State . In spite of this, Dr. Supreet Sourav was demanding bribe for doing the surgery. The Supplier, an MBA graduate & an entrepreneur who had supplied threshing machines , contacted Vigilance over TOLLFREE NO-1064 following bribe demand and harassment by Sri Senapati. Following this, he was nabbed today.

Today, Forest Wing of #Odisha #Vigilance, in three different operations, seized Minor Minerals, Vehicles, & Valuable Timber worth over Rs 25 Lakh.
1) In a joint forest raid on illegal excavation of Black Granite Stones inside Balarampur Forest, Jenapur, Jajpur 1 Two wheeler, 1 Compressor machine & 1 Drilling Jack were detected & seized.
2) Also, 1 TATA truck No.OR04-D-4197 laden with Black Granite Bolders with approx. 211 Cft. on Chandikhol-Balasore NH near Barabatti, Dharmasala PS, #Jajpur, was detected & seized.
3) Following raid on an illegal furniture unit at village Samantarapur, PS-Jajpur Sadar, #Jajpur, 21.53 Cft. valuable timber was detected & seized.

Sri Prashanta Kumar Gantayat, Chief Civil Supplies Officer, #Bhubaneswar, was arrested by #Odisha #Vigilance & sent to jail in DA Case. DA of 134% of income incl. 2 Multi storeyed bldgs, 2 Flats, 5 Plots, Deposits approx Rs.1.48 Crore, Gold 625 gms etc. unearthed.
Today,short while ago, Sri Ranjan Kumar Das, J. E.,TPWODL, Bargaon Electrical Section, #Sundargarh has been apprehended by #Odisha #Vigilance while taking bribe Rs.30,000/- from a Complt for facilitating his appointment as an Electrical Helper on outsourcing basis. Sri Das also threatened the Complt to appoint another person in his place, if demanded bribe is not given. In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance PS Case No.33/2023, U/s.7 P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress.

ଶ୍ରୀ ଲଷ୍ମୀ ନାରାୟଣ ସାମଲ , ପୂର୍ବତନ ଟ୍ରେସର ,ସମ୍ବଲପୁର ଉନ୍ନୟନ କତ୍ତୃପକ୍ଷ , ସମ୍ବଲପୁରଙ୍କ ଚାଲିଥିବା ଆୟବର୍ହିଭୂତ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଖାନତଲାସିରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନସୁଦ୍ଧା ବୁର୍ଲାରେ ଏକ ୩ ମହଲା ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ କୋଠା (୭୦୦୦ ବର୍ଗଫୁଟ ଯାହାର ଆନୁମାନିକ ମୂଲ୍ୟ ₹୧.୪୭ କୋଟି), ₹୨୨.୬୫ ଲକ୍ଷ ରୁ ଅଧିକ ଜମା, ୫ଟି ପ୍ଲଟ୍, ଇତ୍ୟାଦି ମିଳିଛି।
Today , Sri Sanatan Patra, Forest Guard & Sri Narendra Kalo, Watcher Dharanidharpali Nursery, Bonai Forest Range, #Sundargarh have been apprehended by #Odisha #Vigilance for taking bribe Rs.7,000/- from a Complt. to facilitate release of the seized two wheeler of her husband. On the direction of accused Forest Guard, Sri Patra, watcher Sri Narendra Kalo received bribe money from the Complt. Accused Sri Sanatan Patra, Forest Guard was present at the spot during the entire process. The entire bribe Rs.7,000/- has been recovered from Sri Kalo & seized.

Today, Warrantee Sri Bhikari Pradhan, village Gareijholi, PS-Polasara, #Ganjam, who was absconding since long has been arrested by #Odisha #Vigilance on the strength of NBW issued by the Court in connection with BPR Vig PS case no.05/1997. DGM, Electrical, CESU, BBSR in a confiscation case filed by #Odisha #Vigilance vide No 13/15. Earlier, Sri Das, Ex DGM was convicted on 25.8.2022 in a case lodged by Odisha Vigilance for possession of DA. 2) Sri Kailash Chandra Behera, Ex-Tahasiladar, Rourkela, A/p- BDO, Ersama, Jagatsinghpur who was charge sheeted in a case vide Spl. J., Vig, Angul TR No 125/2019 for taking bribe Rs 50,000/- , was convicted by the Court to 3 yrs jail & fine of Rs. 5000/-.
3) Smt Jayanti Pradhan, Ex- Sarpanch, Kulba G.P, Dist- Sundargarh,who was charge sheeted in a case vide Spl. J., Vig., Sundargarh TR No 28/130 of 2016 for taking bribe for issue of AAY Card, was convicted by the Court to 2 yrs jail & fine.
4) Sri Sarat Kumar Panda, Ex-ACF, Malkangiri (Retd) & G. M. Subash Chandra Bose (Forest Contractor), who were charge sheeted in a Case vide Spl. J., Vig., Jeypore TR No.06/2009 were convicted by the Court to 2 yrs jail & fine of Rs. 10,000/- each.
Odisha Vigilance is giving highest priority to prompt investigations with irrefutable evidence, and close monitoring of trials to ensure convictions. In DA cases our conviction rate in 2022 was 77% and we are committed to improve further.

The Complt got married on 3.11.2022 and was entitled to an incentive of Rs 2.5 Lakh under the Odisha Govt Scheme. But Sri Padhi demanded bribe to facilitate the release of the incentive. In this connection, BLS Vig. PS Case No.3/23 U/s 7 P.C. (Amd) Act, 2018 has been regd.
